UK healthtech startup Lottie has acquired CareMaster, a 25-year-old care billing software provider, in a deal aimed at deepening its AI-driven automation across administrative tasks in the social care sector. CareMaster currently services nearly 75 care providers representing more than 750 care home locations across the UK.

Integrating Care Billing into the Found Platform

The acquisition follows Lottie's 2022 purchase of care CRM platform Found, which the company rebuilt as an AI-native system and expanded into home care and supported living. The CareMaster customer base will migrate to Found, combining Lottie's existing technology with CareMaster's decades of specialization in care billing, payments, and credit control.

Financial Targets and Operational Expansion

Lottie projects that Found will support over £1 billion in annual invoicing today, scaling to £2 billion by the end of 2026 and £3 billion by the first half of 2027 following the integration. Additionally, the company expects Found to grow from supporting under 100 care home locations in 2022 to nearly 2,500 UK care services by the end of 2026.

Building on credit control features, Lottie plans to deploy AI tools to streamline manual processes along the entire customer journey—from initial family care inquiries to payment collection. Heading into 2027, the company is preparing for international expansion alongside its UK operations.
