Philips Hue has raised the price of the Philips Hue Bridge Pro across several markets while releasing a software update that removes the need for a hub in a limited Screen Sync setup. TechRadar reported the changes on September 17, 2026, citing price increases introduced in August.
Higher Hub Prices
The Bridge Pro now costs $139 in the US, up from $99, an increase of about 40%. Its UK price is listed at £129.99, compared with a £79.99 launch price, although TechRadar noted that Amazon was offering it for £90.80 at the time of publication.
In eurozone markets, the hub has risen from €99 to €149. It originally launched at €89 before moving to €99 in March, making this the second reported European increase during the year. The source does not provide a company explanation for the new pricing.
Other Lights Affected
The increases extend beyond the hub. Multi-packs of Hue Essential lamps and spotlights are now priced at €69.99, up from €59.99, according to pricing identified by Hue Blog and relayed by TechRadar.
A Hub-Free Sync Option
The accompanying software update introduces Bridgeless Sync for Philips Hue lights used with the Hue Play Screen Sync TV camera or Hue Play HDMI Sync Box 4K. Either device can now communicate with one Hue light over Bluetooth without a Bridge or Bridge Pro.
The camera-based Screen Sync system also works with any TV source, according to the report, so it does not require an HDMI Sync Box. The hub-free option is narrower than a full Hue installation because the described setup supports a single light rather than the broader controls enabled by a Bridge.
