London-headquartered legal-tech provider Opus 2 has acquired Bundledocs, a Cork-based software company specializing in collaborative document management. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The acquisition aims to enhance automated workflows and streamline manual processes for legal teams across global markets.
Expanding Legal-Tech Footprint
Founded in 2019, Bundledocs provides cloud-based software designed to simplify the preparation and review of complex document bundles in a unified environment. Its client roster spans 1,900 accounts across 35 countries, including over 100 of the UK’s top 200 law firms. As of 2024, Bundledocs operated with a 20-person workforce across Ireland, the UK, Australia, and Canada, following a €600,000 funding round in 2020 backed by Enterprise Ireland and private investors.
Strategic Growth and Portfolio Consolidation
The acquisition marks Opus 2's third strategic purchase in five years as part of an ongoing expansion across Europe and internationally. Founded in 2008, Opus 2 provides legal strategy and workspace software supported by an AI framework, serving law firms such as Dentons, Goodwin, and Baker Botts across 64 countries. The acquisition follows its purchase of legal AI platform Uncover late last year alongside the opening of an Amsterdam office. Chief Executive Greg Blackman noted that the integration of Bundledocs will support the company's product roadmap and client efficiency goals.
