Logitech G launched the Yeti 2 on September 28, 2026, updating the long-running streaming microphone with locally processed noise reduction, proximity sensing and a built-in color display. Priced at $159.99, £139.99 or AU$249.95, it is positioned as an all-in-one option for streamers and other content creators.
Audio processing moves onto the microphone
The Yeti 2 includes an adjustable AI-powered denoiser designed to suppress background sound without requiring companion software on a computer. Processing the feature directly on the microphone could simplify setup for creators who do not want to configure a separate desktop audio chain.
A proximity sensor also monitors the user's position and distance from the microphone. Logitech G says the system can respond in real time by changing the pickup pattern, equalization and gain. The sensor is not a camera, according to the company.
A display provides immediate feedback
A 1.3-inch color screen shows settings such as gain and pickup pattern. It can alternatively display animated mascots whose expressions respond when the user is speaking too loudly or quietly. Preset characters are included, while users can upload images to make their own display graphic.
The hardware retains the original Yeti's pill-shaped form but uses a redesigned three-capsule array. The first Yeti arrived in 2009 under Blue Microphones; Logitech acquired the brand and incorporated it into Logitech G in 2023. The original model remains in production.
Automation is the central proposition
The most consequential change is the attempt to turn a traditionally passive peripheral into one that manages routine audio decisions itself. Automatic gain, EQ and pickup adjustments may be particularly relevant to first-time streamers who lack experience tuning microphone settings or whose distance from the microphone changes during a session.
The source describes those automatic adjustments as promising on paper but does not provide test results demonstrating their accuracy or audio quality. It also does not specify connectivity, platform compatibility or whether every customization feature works without desktop software, so the reported software-free operation applies specifically to the local denoiser.
