Estonian startup bilt.me has raised $700,000 in pre-seed funding for its AI-assisted platform that turns users’ ideas into native iOS and Android applications. Superhero Capital led the round, with participation from Bolt founder Markus Villig and Lightyear founder Martin Sokk.
From Idea to Mobile Release
Founded in August 2025 by Uku Joost Annus, Kevin Akkermann and Karl Kiilaspää, bilt.me began as a hackathon project addressing Apple’s restrictions around app testing. It has since developed into an AI app-building service intended to guide users from an initial concept to a mobile application that can be released through established app stores.
The company is concentrating on native mobile software rather than the web applications commonly produced by AI app builders. That focus places bilt.me closer to the full mobile development and distribution process, although the source does not detail which development tasks still require manual work or technical knowledge.
Infrastructure Built In-House
Supporting native apps required bilt.me to create additional services for functions it considered underserved by existing tools. Its infrastructure includes Bilt Payments, Bilt Cloud and Bilt Link, covering payments, cloud services and application sharing respectively.
Paying apps made with the platform are already available on Apple’s App Store and Google Play, according to the company. It says thousands of people use bilt.me, with consumer apps accounting for about 75 percent of projects and private or internal tools making up the remaining 25 percent.
Revenue and Expansion Plans
bilt.me reports that it has exceeded six figures in annual recurring revenue and doubled revenue month over month for three consecutive months. Those figures are company-reported, and the source does not provide an exact recurring-revenue total, customer count or funding valuation.
The startup plans to use the pre-seed capital for global expansion and further development of its app-building capabilities. Its strategy reflects a focus on the application layer of AI: helping more people package their knowledge or business ideas into mobile products without following a conventional native development process.
