AWS Builder Center is now available as a mobile app on iOS and Android, giving developers another way to access AWS learning material, community posts and workshops. AWS says the app is available worldwide through Apple's App Store and Google Play Store and uses AWS Builder ID to keep users signed in between sessions.

Learning and Workshops on Mobile

The app provides access to trending technical articles and more than 600 AWS Skill Builder courses. Users can also manage hands-on workshops that include free sandbox environments, allowing them to continue guided exercises from a phone or tablet rather than relying exclusively on the Builder Center website.

The mobile release is primarily a new access point for AWS's existing developer resources, rather than a separate development environment. The source does not describe writing, building or deploying code directly inside the app.

Community Features

Developers can follow AWS Heroes, Community Builders and User Group Leaders, view Builder Loft event calendars and receive push notifications for topics or communities they subscribe to. The app also includes the Wishlist feedback feature, through which users can submit product suggestions to AWS teams.

AWS Builder Center separately added community polls. Authors can create a question with two to five choices and a deadline, while results update live and discussion remains available in comments. AWS says individual votes are anonymous, with poll creators limited to aggregate totals and percentages.

Account and Availability

Using the app requires an AWS Builder ID. AWS did not provide minimum operating-system versions, accessibility details or information about whether course and workshop content can be downloaded for offline use in the announcement. Those omissions may matter to developers hoping to use the service while travelling or with limited connectivity.

The announcement appeared in AWS's weekly roundup dated September 21, 2026. It presented the mobile apps alongside other AWS updates, including the general availability of Amazon Corretto 27, Amazon Connect Talent and Kimi K3 on Amazon Bedrock.
