TigerByte Cyber has emerged from stealth with a $3 million seed round led by Hale Capital Partners, with participation from Tenon VC, SecurityWeek reported on September 19, 2026. The Hanover, New Hampshire-based company is developing security technology for AI and edge devices, including legacy systems that remain in operation.
Security for Existing Systems
TigerByte Cyber calls its product Cyber Protection Suite (CPS). The company describes it as a compact, plug-and-play system that adds hardware-enforced protections such as data validation, deep packet inspection, network segmentation and post-quantum encryption. Its focus is on protecting devices where they operate, including mission-critical equipment that may be difficult to replace.
SecurityWeek said TigerByte Cyber’s products appear to draw on technology developed by WebSensing, a single-chip network security company founded in 2016. The report also said WebSensing appears to have moved products and personnel under the TigerByte Cyber branding; it did not establish the precise corporate relationship between the two.
Where the Funding Goes
TigerByte Cyber plans to use the funding to scale its technology for communication and navigation systems in military and commercial aircraft, drones, satellites and vehicles. It also plans to expand its US manufacturing capabilities. Those are intended uses of the new capital, not deployments established by the funding announcement.
Government Contracts
SecurityWeek reported that the company has secured more than $7 million in contracts with US government agencies, naming the US Space Force, US Navy and DARPA. That contract figure is distinct from the $3 million raised in the seed round; the source does not say how much of the contracted work has been delivered or recognized as revenue.
