Procuros has raised €20 million in a Series A funding round to scale its AI-native supply chain connectivity platform and expand its international presence. The investment round was led by XAnge, with participation from existing investors Point Nine, Creandum, b2venture, and several angel investors.
Resolving Fragmented B2B Data Systems
The Hamburg-based software company addresses operational bottlenecks caused by legacy electronic data interchange (EDI) systems and manual processes. Enterprise trade frequently relies on unstructured files such as spreadsheets, PDFs, and faxes, which force operations teams to manually input records and reconcile transaction errors. Connecting individual trading partners often requires months of custom engineering effort from both parties.
Procuros offers a unified platform that allows companies to establish a single integration point. Through this connection, businesses can exchange and validate transaction documents—including purchase orders, dispatch notices, and invoices—across disparate software systems and data formats without custom point-to-point setups.
Foundational Layer for Autonomous Automation
In addition to handling data exchange, the platform normalizes information across trading partners into a common data layer. This structured format enables software tools and artificial intelligence agents to automate commercial transaction workflows. Procuros Chief Executive Officer Patrick Thelen noted that while AI technologies are advancing quickly, legacy infrastructure still forces operations teams to manually bridge gaps between incompatible systems.
Targeting International Expansion
After establishing its network across the DACH region, Procuros plans to use the new capital to scale its go-to-market teams, enhance its technical capabilities, and expand internationally. According to investor XAnge, broadening the startup's connectivity network will allow enterprise AI agents to operate across wider multi-company trading ecosystems.
