NVIDIA has announced the upcoming release of the DGX Spark 64 GB desktop AI system, bringing a new configuration with unified memory and the DGX OS software stack directly to developers, researchers, and AI enthusiasts. Built around the GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip and equipped with NVIDIA ConnectX-7 networking, the compact system is designed to run local AI agents, inference, fine-tuning, and data science workloads entirely on device without cloud dependency.

Hardware Specifications and Clustering

The 64 GB configuration joins the existing lineup while maintaining the core architecture of higher-end models, supporting models with up to 100 billion parameters locally. For workloads that exceed a single unit's capacity, developers can connect two 64 GB systems using a QSFP cable via the built-in NVIDIA ConnectX-7 NIC. According to NVIDIA, this clustering pools the system memory to 128 GB, expands model support up to 200 billion parameters, and delivers up to 1.7x performance in tested configurations compared to a single unit.

Software Support and Ecosystem Integration

Out of the box, the hardware supports the NVIDIA Agent Toolkit, CUDA-X AI libraries, Nemotron open models, and standard runtimes including Ollama, vLLM, and PyTorch with CUDA. The NVIDIA Sync app and Cluster Assistant automate network configuration and device detection when linking multiple nodes. Additionally, the forthcoming NVIDIA Sync Model Launcher aims to simplify running models like Qwen 3.8 27B across connected hardware or accessing them from external laptops, while Blender prepares prebuilt installers for the platform.

Availability and Pricing

The DGX Spark 64 GB system is scheduled to be available from manufacturer partners including Acer, ASUS, Dell, Gigabyte, HP, and MSI starting Friday, October 23, with a base price of $4,999. The hardware launch is accompanied by technical documentation and playbooks hosted via NVIDIA's developer portal to assist with local deployment and multi-node setup.
