Namespace Labs Inc. announced that it has raised $42 million in a Series B funding round led by Scale Venture Partners. The round comes seven months after the startup's Series A investment, bringing its total funding raised to date to $65 million.

Tailored Infrastructure for Software Engineering

Existing investors NEA, 20VC, Essence, Burst Capital, and Susa Ventures joined the funding round. Founded in 2022 by former Google engineer Hugo Santos, Namespace provides specialized compute infrastructure designed specifically for software build, testing, continuous integration, and AI agent execution.

Unlike traditional virtual machines that require continuous management and enterprise configuration, Namespace targets developer workflows with low-latency networking, ephemeral storage, and cache support. The company designed its stack to keep up with shorter development cycles without adding monitoring overhead.

Expanding Mac Fleet and Multi-OS Compute

Namespace plans to use the new funding to expand its data center footprint, with dedicated investment in its Apple Mac hardware infrastructure. While standard cloud hosting providers typically focus on Linux and Windows servers, Namespace supports build and test environments across macOS, Windows, and Linux.

The provider's Mac platform supports up to 12 virtual CPUs and 56 gigabytes of memory per instance, covering multiple operating system releases including Sonoma, Sequoia, Tahoe, and Golden Gate. This allows developers building applications for iOS and macOS to run automated tasks without relying on niche hosting alternatives.

Meeting the Demands of AI-Accelerated Delivery

The investment comes amid broader industry changes in deployment speed. According to findings from Google Cloud's 2025 DORA Report, 16.2% of surveyed developers deploy code on demand, while 6.5% deploy hourly to daily, and 21.9% deploy on a daily to weekly schedule.

As engineering teams incorporate autonomous AI coding tools and split work into smaller micro-releases, build cycles generate recurring compute spikes. Namespace aims to support these rapid software iteration cycles by supplying purpose-built execution environments that scale on demand.
