Personal AI assistant startup Instinct has announced a $1 billion funding round that values the company at $10 billion, according to SiliconANGLE. Sequoia Capital, Benchmark Capital and Coatue joined the Series C investment, which follows a $250 million raise announced a month earlier at a $2.5 billion valuation.
An assistant for everyday tasks
Instinct is still in early access and is developing an assistant aimed at handling practical digital errands. The company says users will be able to request tasks such as planning a cross-country road trip, ordering groceries or canceling forgotten subscriptions with a short typed or spoken instruction.
The system is designed to operate across a computer and phone, loading websites and apps and interacting with them directly. That computer-use approach is intended to let the assistant complete actions rather than simply provide conversational answers.
Phone calls and high-touch requests
Instinct is also developing a phone concierge capability for cases that require calls or more involved coordination. The company describes potential uses including restaurant reservations, doctor’s appointments, cancellations and resolving bills, though the product remains in early access.
Shared plans and personal context
The assistant can coordinate with Instinct assistants used by trusted friends and coworkers. According to the company, those agents can exchange files, PDFs, images and spreadsheets to organize schedules and preferences. Instinct also links location sharing through iMessage to help the assistant recognize arrivals and provide location-based suggestions.
A crowded agent market
Instinct is entering a growing field of personal-agent products that includes startups such as Wajo, Ollie and Poke, alongside assistant efforts from OpenAI, SpaceXAI, Apple and Meta. SiliconANGLE reports that Apple is expanding Siri toward access to personal context and app actions, while Meta is testing a comparable voice-based concierge capability.
