Hang Ten Systems, the enterprise AI startup founded by former Infosys CEO Vishal Sikka, has raised an additional $53 million in seed financing. The investment brings its total funding to $85 million, five weeks after the company closed an initial $32 million seed round.

Xora Leads the Extension

Temasek's early-stage investment platform Xora led the new financing, with previous lead investor Mayfield also participating. Other backers include Aramco Ventures, Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan, Micron CEO Sanjay Mehrotra and Yahoo co-founder Jerry Yang, who sits on Hang Ten's board. The company did not disclose its valuation, though Sikka told TechCrunch the latest round was completed at a higher valuation than the first.

Enterprise Software Focus

Founded in May and headquartered in Palo Alto, Hang Ten advises large companies on AI strategy while helping them build and modernize software. Its typical clients generate more than $10 billion in annual revenue, according to the company.

Sikka said Hang Ten is working with customers and late-stage prospects across 21 major enterprises. The company has secured multiple seven-figure contracts and is pursuing eight-figure deals, but some of the cited opportunities remain at the proposal or contract-negotiation stage. Named customers include Fresenius Kabi, Saudi Aramco and Siemens Energy.

Smaller Project Teams

Hang Ten does not develop its own foundation model. Instead, its engineers use an internal framework called Hobie, which packages reusable AI capabilities for regulated industries and complex enterprise projects.

CTO Sanjay Rajagopalan said some assignments can be handled by teams of two to four people where roughly 30 might previously have been required. He also claimed the company targets a tenfold improvement in cost, delivery speed or a combination of both. Those performance figures are company claims; final quality checks and certification remain with customers or independent third parties.

Hiring Across Regions

Hang Ten plans to use the capital to expand its engineering, consulting and sales operations. It currently employs about 20 to 25 people across the United States, the Middle East and Australia, with hiring planned in Europe and India.

The startup competes with established systems integrators as well as expanding enterprise offerings from AI developers including OpenAI and Anthropic. Sikka said more than half of Hang Ten's current opportunities involve projects that customers had previously postponed, rather than contracts displaced from incumbent providers.
