Watch face platform Facer has released an update for its Wear OS application, completely redesigning the user interface and organizing its collection into dedicated categories. The overhaul introduces brand partnerships with traditional watchmakers alongside streamlined navigation for customizable smartwatch faces.

Categorized Browsing Layout

The refreshed application structures its library into distinct sections to help users locate specific watch face designs. The new layout includes a personalized 'For You' home tab that displays faces tailored to user preferences, alongside dedicated sections for health, fitness, and sports metrics. Entertainment and watch brand channels curate licensed media properties and traditional horology designs.

Traditional Brands and Media Partnerships

Facer is expanding its library with digital watch faces created in collaboration with Timex, bringing models such as the Marlin, Expedition, and T80 to the platform. These additions join digital representations from existing watchmakers on the service, including MVMT, Maurice Lacroix, and Fortis. The platform is also adding themed designs based on Angry Birds and Sonic the Hedgehog.

Spotlighting Platform Designers

Alongside the catalog redesign, Facer is launching a program called Facer Originals. This initiative is designed to feature exclusive watch faces created by top designers on the platform, providing a dedicated showcase for original smartwatch aesthetics within the app.
