EA Sports FC 27 received a 10-hour EA Play trial on September 18, 2026, for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members. The trial is available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Xbox on PC, while saved progress can carry into the full game after purchase.
A limited early look
The trial gives eligible subscribers a fixed window to explore the football game before buying it. EA says members can receive discounts of up to 10% on the full game, FC Points and other EA digital purchases, alongside recurring in-game rewards. The source does not specify the full game's price or provide broader release details.
The Grounds expands social play
A new mode described by EA is The Grounds, a football-themed social space for meeting and recruiting Club members. Activities range from quick Kickabouts and 2v2 games to Clubs-only 11v11 stadium tournaments, spread across three districts. This mode is restricted to Xbox Series X|S, leaving Xbox One and PC trial players without access to it.
EA Play members who enter The Grounds before December 1 can claim two items for the mode. The announcement does not describe those items in detail.
Changes on the pitch
EA says FC 27 improves attacking movement through better spatial awareness and curved runs, with teammates responding more closely to available space and passing intent. Other changes include dribbling designed to preserve momentum during physical challenges, direct control over set-piece positioning and a two-player heading system for aerial contests. These gameplay claims come from EA's announcement rather than independent testing.
Career and Ultimate Team updates
Manager Career introduces a rebuilt Transfer Market in which valuations reflect factors including club buying power, player potential, ratings and form. Football Ultimate Team adds Gallery, where players organize sets of current and former Player Items across clubs, leagues, nations and campaigns to raise their Gallery Level and earn rewards.
