Mintrocket and Unknown Worlds have announced a crossover content pack bringing Dave the Diver into the world of Subnautica 2. Revealed during the Triple-I Initiative showcase, the Dave the Diver X Subnautica 2 DLC is scheduled for release in early 2027. The expansion transfers the series' familiar hunting and management loops into an alien underwater ecosystem.

In the upcoming expansion, players navigate Dave through the alien environment of Subnautica 2 to gather resources, harvest local fauna, and collect ingredients for new sushi dishes. Among the creature additions are Nibbler Mangos, aggressive marine entities that harass players in Subnautica 2. While the base survival title restricts players from directly slaying large hostile sea life, the crossover framework lets players hunt these creatures and deliver them to Bancho the Chef for culinary preparation.
The Final Major Expansion for Dave the Diver
Developer Mintrocket confirmed to PC Gamer that this content pack will serve as the final major downloadable expansion for Dave the Diver. While the studio is not immediately transitioning into a full sequel, it plans to maintain smaller content updates and potential collaborations based on player responses. Separately, Mintrocket is developing a prequel title centered on Bancho the Chef, though an official release date for that project has not been announced.
