R2Games has launched Crystal Saga Nova on Android, introducing a mobile MMORPG set in the long-running Crystal Saga universe. The game adapts the series’ browser-MMO format for shorter play sessions while retaining character progression, pets and real-time combat.
A Fantasy World Built for Mobile
Crystal Saga Nova takes place in a colourful fantasy setting influenced by Greek and Roman mythology. Players explore locations including Starlight City, with chibi-style 3D characters and 2.5D environments supporting the game’s bright presentation.
The central gameplay loop combines exploration, combat and long-term character development. Players can fight world bosses, participate in real-time player-versus-player battles and work through other MMORPG activities designed to fit into shorter sessions.
Five Classes and Evolving Pets
The launch includes five classes: Knight, Rogue, Mage, Priest and Pixie. Each has its own skill trees, while male and female character options allow players to shape their starting character. The class roles cover different combat approaches, including absorbing damage and dealing ranged attacks.
Pets are another major progression system. Players can capture wild pets, combine them across 12 generations of fusion and improve their aptitude as they develop. The game also includes collectible and upgradeable mounts, wings, costumes and artifacts.
Android Now, iOS Later
Crystal Saga Nova is currently available on Android through the Google Play Store. No iOS launch date has been announced.
AFK progression allows characters to continue advancing while the player is away, a feature that may suit players looking for a less continuously active MMORPG routine.
