Cloudflare has launched Turnstile Spin, a workflow that lets coding agents set up, repair or migrate Turnstile bot protection across a website's frontend and backend. The company says the tool is designed to remove the manual two-part integration that normally requires embedding a widget and connecting its token to the Siteverify API.
Agent-assisted integration
A developer selects the part of a site that needs protection, after which the agent searches the codebase, proposes a plan and waits for approval before making changes. Spin can create a new integration, add missing server-side validation to an existing widget, or replace another CAPTCHA implementation with Turnstile.
Cloudflare says the changes are made by the developer's existing agent, such as Claude Code, Cursor or Codex, inside the local codebase. The application code is not sent to Cloudflare for remote modification; the only new Cloudflare resource is the Turnstile widget.
What it fixes
Turnstile's normal setup separates browser and server work: the frontend renders the widget and receives a token, while the backend sends that token to Siteverify before deciding whether to allow an action such as login. Spin is intended to keep those steps connected and identify widgets that have been serving traffic without backend validation.
The workflow can be started from the Cloudflare dashboard, Wrangler or a public skill URL supplied to an agent. Existing widgets flagged by the dashboard can receive a Fix with Spin action, while migration flows are applied only after the proposed changes receive approval.
Cloudflare's early figures
Cloudflare reports that Turnstile handles about three billion verifications on a typical weekday and that more than 23,000 accounts created a widget during one recent week. The company also says the dashboard recorded more than 65,000 successful Spin widget creations since its release in July, with generated prompts copied more than 30,000 times.
These figures are Cloudflare's adoption claims, not independent measurements. Spin also depends on an agent being able to understand the site's code and on a developer reviewing the proposed changes; the source does not describe independent security testing or broader protection beyond the Turnstile integration.
