Blizzard has not announced console versions of Warcraft 3, World of Warcraft: Forever or Heroes of the Storm. Developers questioned at BlizzCon 2026 left open the possibility of future ports but said their current work remains focused on PC releases and existing players.

PC Remains the Priority

Warcraft 3 Project Lead Brad Chan said the team may discuss console support, but its immediate focus is PC. The strategy game is receiving Forsaken Kingdom, described by Windows Central as its first expansion in more than two decades, yet no Xbox, PlayStation or Nintendo Switch edition was confirmed.

Controller Support Without an Xbox Port

World of Warcraft: Forever is scheduled to launch in November with native gamepad support on PC. Game Director Ion Hazzikostas said the feature is intended to make controller play easier for PC users who previously relied on add-ons such as Console Port, rather than serving as confirmation of an Xbox release.

Hazzikostas indicated that the slower combat of the Classic and Forever eras could be better suited to a controller than later versions of World of Warcraft. However, he maintained that the development focus remains on PC and offered no console schedule or commitment.

Heroes Revival Comes First

Heroes of the Storm lead developer James Yen said the team considers different directions for the game, but expanding to consoles or mobile could distract from rebuilding it. Its immediate priorities are supporting returning players and producing more content following the game's BlizzCon return, which includes the new hero Xal'atath.

No Porting Plans Yet

The three responses leave console releases as possibilities rather than announced projects. Native controller support gives World of Warcraft: Forever a practical connection to console-style play, but Blizzard has disclosed no target platforms, release dates or active porting plans for any of the three games.
