Rockstar Games has released a preview of six in-game radio stations for Grand Theft Auto 6, while confirming that the title will feature on-demand podcasts and personal listening devices for the first time in the franchise. Players will be able to stream broadcast radio stations and podcast episodes both inside vehicles and on foot using in-game smartphones equipped with earbuds and headphones.
On-Foot Listening via In-Game Smart Devices
In previous Grand Theft Auto releases, in-game radio access was confined primarily to motor vehicles. For Grand Theft Auto 6, Rockstar has introduced smartphone-connected earbuds and headphones, allowing main characters Jason and Lucia to listen to audio while moving through the game world on foot. Alongside traditional music and talk radio channels, the game introduces a series of on-demand podcasts integrated directly into the in-game audio system.
Genre-Focused Stations Across Leonida
Rockstar has made audio previews for six stations accessible through its official website ahead of the game's scheduled launch. The previewed lineup includes Cocoteo FM, hosted by El Martillo and La Gata, focusing on Latin genres such as reggaeton, dembow, bachata, and merengue. Back Country Radio features country music presented by MW and Delta Dawne, alongside reports from swamp meteorologist Mud Dog Mike across Grassrivers and Port Gellhorn. AfroBank FM, hosted by Burna and Palmsy, showcases African music genres including amapiano and 3-step.
Rock, Pop, and Rap Lineup Details
The station collection also features heavy metal on The Chamber 106.6 with DJ Kerry and DJ Tom, and pop music on Vice City's Flash FM hosted by Robyn and Alex. Regional rap and hip-hop are broadcast on Dirty South Classics, hosted by Trick and Trina. Rockstar additionally announced Grand Theft Auto 6: The Album, a soundtrack set to feature 24 original tracks from artists including Travis Scott, PinkPantheress, Morgan Wallen, and Keith Richards, with six initial singles available to stream online.
